Northwestern Lehigh uncontested races

On Tuesday, May 21, voters will go to the polls to cast their votes in the 2019 Municipal Primary.

There are several uncontested races in the four Northwestern Lehigh townships and in Washington Township.

In Heidelberg Township, incumbent Supervisor Jonathan Jakum is unchallenged on the Republican ticket for a six-year term in office.

Luke Savage, who was named to the township planning commission in September 2018, is unchallenged on the Democrat ticket.

The two will face each other in the November election.

No one is listed on either ticket for the auditor slot.

Lowhill Township incumbent supervisor George W. “Buddy” Wessner Jr. is unchallenged on the Republican ticket for another six-year term in office. There is no Democrat listed on the ballot.

Carole J. Dorsch is on the Republican ticket for a six-year term as auditor. There is no Democrat listed on the ballot.

In Lynn Township, incumbent supervisor Steve Feinour is seeking another six-year term. No one is listed on the Democrat ticket.

There are also no candidates listed for either the six-year or two-year terms as auditor.

In Washington Township, incumbent supervisor Josh B. Friebolin, a Democrat, is running for another six-year term in office.

No one is listed on the Republican side of the ticket. And, there also is no candidate for the six-year term as auditor.

Weisenberg Township incumbent Supervisor Richard Bleiler is unchallenged on the Republican ticket. His present term in office expires on Jan. 1, 2020. No name is shown on the Democrat ticket.

There also is no one seeking the six-year term as auditor.
