The American Red Cross needs blood donations to trauma centers during Trauma Awareness Month this May and throughout the year.

One car accident victim might use as many as 100 units of blood.

Donor appointments may be scheduled by downloading the free app at RedCrossBlood.org or by calling 1-800-RedCross (1-800-733-2767).

Red Cross blood, platelets or plasma donors through June 10 will receive a $5 Amazon.com gift card via email (restrictions apply).
