A Macungie man died of multiple injuries in an accident earlier this month in Macungie borough.

Bennie Howard, 50, was pronounced dead 7:55 a.m. May 4 at an accident scene in the 200 block of West Main Street by Chief Deputy Coroner Andrew H. Kehm, according to a media release from the office of the coroner.

Following an autopsy, the cause of death was found to be multiple blunt force trauma and the manner of death was ruled an accident.

The accident happened at approximately 7:19 a.m.

According to authorities, Howard was the driver of a vehicle in a collision with another vehicle.

The Macungie Police Department, the Alburtis Police Department, Pennsylvania State Police and the Lehigh County District Attorney’s Office are agencies investigating the accident.
