Heidelberg Union Church, 5187 Irvin Road, Heidelberg Township, will host a concert by well-known Gospel singer, Lynda Randle, on May 17.

Doors open at 5 p.m. Jack and Friends will entertain 5:30-6:30 p.m. Concert begins at 7 p.m.

Proceeds go to Family Promise of the Lehigh Valley.

Hope Community Church, 7974 Claussville Road, Fogelsville, will sponsor a yard sale from 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. on May 25. Bring your own table.

There will be free coffee and water for everyone and balloons for the kids.

Hot dogs, ham or turkey sandwiches, and Italian hoagies will be available for purchase.

Nonperishable items for the Lowhill Food Pantry will be accepted.

This event runs in conjunction with the Claussville Community yard sale.

Weisenberg Volunteer Fire Company, 2500 Golden Key Road, will be selling meat pies from until May 21 with pickup at the station 4:30-6 p.m. June 6.

Proceeds will benefit the fire station for equipment, etc.

Call Pat at 610-285-2488 to order 6-inch or 9-inch chicken, sausage or beef pies.

The fire department is having an open house 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 11, rain or shine.

There will be a bake sale, fire safety tips and demonstrations.

Donations will be accepted.

Weisenberg Lowhill Historical Society, 4585 Werleys Corner Road, New Tripoli will open its doors to a genealogy workshop, with Wi-Fi available, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 11.

Bring a laptop, along with a bag lunch and beverage, to do your research.

Help is available if you do not have a laptop.

On May 28, the quarterly meeting of the society will be 7:30 p.m. at the Weisenberg Township Administration Building, 2175 Seipstown Road, Fogelsville.

This meeting is open to the public.

Marie Maly, president of the Longswamp Township Historical Society, will speak on “18th Century German Immigration to Colonial America” regarding German and Swiss citizens deserting their feudal existence for religious freedom and land ownership opportunities in America.
