Lehigh Valley Zoo, 5150 Game Preserve Road, Schnecksville, will celebrate Mother’s Day May 11 and 12.
There will be hands-on activities and interactive experiences including a question-and-answer session at the kangaroo exhibit and giraffe and lorikeet feedings.
Local musician John Rodden will perform from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 11.
A meet and greet with Bean, the resident sloth, is set for 10:30-11:30 a.m. May 12.
There will be a K-9 Dog Walk 8-10 a.m. May 18 with proceeds going toward the zoo’s conservation efforts.
Registration and pre-walk activities will occur 8-8:45 a.m. with the walk beginning at 9 a.m.
The walk will start in the parking lot and travel along the path through the game preserve, Elk Ridge Trail and the Jordan Creek.There will be shelters, vendors and entertainment.
Visit the zoo May 19 for Da Vinci Science Center Day featuring an assortment of traveling exhibits.
Swing into the zoo’s lower event tent for a chance to get-up close and hands-on with some amazing STEAM activities.
