May 9

Allentown Garden Club meeting 12:30 p.m. at the lower level of the Allentown Public Library, 12th and Hamilton streets, Allentown. Jack Jones, J.J. Woodcrafts, will present unique, one-of-a-kind, birdhouses and bird feeders crafted from old barn wood. Many birdhouses will be offered for sale. The public is welcome.

May 11

Allentown Garden Club’s annual plant sale 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 207 N. 27th St., Allentown, just north of the Allentown Rose Garden. The greatest volume of the plants are perennials and come from our members’ gardens.

Purse bingo fundraiser for Boots & Saddle Riding Club at the Alburtis Area Community Center, 220 W. 2nd St., Alburtis. Doors open 1 p.m. Games start 2 p.m. Groups of eight or more can reserve a table and receive a special thank you gift. Advance reservations include extra door prize tickets. Emmaus Historical Society meeting, 7 p.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church parish hall, 501 Chestnut St., Emmaus. Annual elections will be held at the meeting prior to the program. The program is “2009 Anniversary Celebration - A Look Back” and will be presented by Dr. Michael Waddell and Teri Sorg-McManamon as part of the 2019 program and exhibit theme of “Celebrate the Celebrations.” It is open to the public.

Hivel Und Dahl Preservation Society will have a plant and bake sale 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Upper Milford Farmers Market. All proceeds will benefit the Schubert-Graber log building restoration fund.
