Christ’s Church has Colonial tea party

Christ’s Church at Lowhill celebrated Mother’s Day with a tea party on May 4.

Sue Heffner and her kitchen staff prepared soup, a variety of petite sandwiches, salad and quiche for tea party guests.

A variety of tea, coffee, punch, lemonade and ice tea were also served.

The dessert table was filled in the center of the room with many choices to satisfy everyone’s sweet tooth.

This year’s fashion show centered around the church’s 250th anniversary celebration.

Several of the dresses displayed were sewn by Janice Weidner.

Mothers, grandmothers and great- grandmothers, along with friends and family members, enjoyed great food, fellowship and entertainment.
