BASD: Cable channel runs 24/7
The BASD TV cable channel is up and running. The station runs 24 hours, seven days a week on RCN Channel 67 and Service Electric Channel 265.
Broughal MS: Academic Expo May 29
There will be an eighth grade ‘Farm to School’ academic expo from 5 to 7 p.m. May 29 at Broughal M.S., 114 W. Morton St. Each student created a project in either a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) or Literary (History, Geography, Biography, Literature). The presentations must include a written research paper, a visual display/project and a personal reflection.
Nitschmann MS: Concerts May 8 and 20
Middle School Orchestra and Jazz Band Spring Concert will be held at 7 p.m. on May 8 at the school, 1002 W. Union Blvd. There is a cost. Visit @NitschmannMS or @BethlehemAreaSD.

Charter Arts
Media students at Charter Arts are participating in the Musikfest Marketing program with ArtsQuest. As part of the project, they will hold a press conference which will include an announcement about the band participants for the student concert block at Musikfest.
Students, the school CEO and Arts Quest representatives will speak about what was learned in the program. The media event is at 12:30 p.m. May 7. For information, visit www.CharterArts.org.
The Lehigh Valley Charter High School for the Arts will hold its 2019 Gala of Dreams from 6 to11 p.m. May 18 at Factory, located at 315 Columbia St. PNC Bank is the presenting sponsor.
There will be a dinner, entertainment, both a live and a silent auction and dancing.
