Grade: 12

Family members: My parents are Jennifer and David Zambo. I have two younger sisters, Emma and Sarah.

Favorite subject: My favorite subjects are physics because I enjoy math and science, and government because I enjoy debating, public speaking and discussing current events.

Activities: I am captain of the varsity soccer and basketball teams. I participate in track and field and I am a competitive dancer. In school, I am the senior class vice president, a Movement charity club chairperson, debate team member, peer listener, retreat team member, Science Olympiad member and business club member.

Next steps: Next year I will be attending Johns Hopkins University.

Career goals: I want to double major in biophysics and political science, and then one day hopefully attend law school to become a patent lawyer.

Heroes: My parents are my heroes because ever since I was a little girl they have been nothing but supportive of me and have always pushed me to pursue my dreams.

Hobbies: I love to play the piano and read.

Volunteer/community work: With the Movement charity club I have participated in various volunteering opportunities to help those in our community. I also help coach CYO soccer and basketball and student teach at my dance studio.

Likes: My favorite books are “All the Bright Places” and “A Separate Peace.” I love the TV shows “One Tree Hill” and “The Office.” I also love Disney World, chocolate-covered strawberries and watching movies with my sisters.

Dislikes: I do not like meatloaf, the color orange or cleaning my room.

Greatest accomplishment (so far): My greatest accomplishment is being on the fundraising committee for Bethlehem Catholic’s 2018 MiniTHON and helping to raise over $84,000 for the Four Diamonds Foundation.

Advice for peers: Never stop working hard to pursue your dreams. Stay focused and enjoy every minute of high school because time flies.
