LEHIGH VALLEY WEATHER

Huddling for food

The Lehigh Valley Zoo celebrated Easter weekend with numerous events April 18-22.

On April 18, there was a Bean the Sloth meet-and-greet, and on Monday, Earth Day, various community groups showed ways to help protect the Earth from pollution and degradation due to climate change.

Monday was also a good day to meet Luani, a 2-1/2-year old African penguin. Luani is a Lehigh Valley native as he was born at the zoo.

Older penguins now call the zoo their home as part of the Save Animals From Extinction program.
