Emmaus High School boys and girls lacrosse teams will battle pancreatic cancer in the annual PanCan lacrosse games against Southern Lehigh April 27.
In efforts to raise money for a great cause, players will sell PanCan T-shirts during all lunch periods until April 26. Short-sleeved and long-sleeved T-shirts are available. All proceeds go toward the research and treatment for pancreatic cancer. Wearing the T-shirt earns you free entrance to the games played at Southern Lehigh High School.
The AfterBall, Around the World, will be held 11:30 p.m. May 3 to 4:30 a.m. May 4. All seniors and their guests are invited. There is a cost payable at the door.
The next No Place for Hate meeting will be held 7 to 7:20 a.m. April 25 in Room 409.
Students should log in to the Class of 2020 Google classroom and nominate a student for Prom King and Prom Queen through April 26.
Make-up testing normally scheduled for the learning lab is temporarily on hold until further notice. The learning lab will be open for tutoring and extra help and will open in its new location in the EHS library.
Junior prom tickets will be sold during all lunches between the cafeterias through April 24 paying with check only. Tickets can only be purchased with cash in Mr. Fortier’s office anytime during the school day. Ticket sales will end April 24. If you are taking a student from a different school, you must have the guest form completed and approved by Mr. Fortier before purchasing the ticket for your guest due April 24.
Art show T-shirts are now on sale in the art rooms from now until May 3. Pick up an order form from the art teachers if you are interested.
The seventh annual EHS College Fair will be held May 2. The College Fair will be held 6-8 p.m. in both EHS gymnasiums. Representatives from over 135 national colleges, technical schools, apprenticeship programs and members of the armed forces will be on hand to answer questions and provide information to students and families.
For juniors interested in taking a free college course at DeSales University during senior year, the DeSales University High School Scholars program may be what you’re looking for. See Mrs. Greene in the counseling office for details. The application deadline is May 3.
If you are interested in running for class officer next school year, grab an application from the activities office or print it from your grade Google classroom. Completed applications are due May 7 at the afterschool meeting.
The game club meets after school Tuesdays in Room 523.
The Young Democrats Club is meeting after school every Wednesday in Room 310. All are welcome to come and join in open discussions.
