District News: Laudato voted to kiss a pig!
Zephyr Elementary School’s Key Club, along with the school, raised money for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society during the Pennies for Patients campaign last month. The school raised more than $4,000!
One incentive to raise money was the promise that a staff member would have to kiss a pig. Students “voted” by placing money in a box identified for a particular staff member. Fifth-grade teacher Mrs. Laudato had the most votes.
Get ready to pucker up, Mrs. Laudato! The pig-kissing event will take place April 26.

Whitehall-Coplay School District is supporting one of its teachers by creating a team to walk in the annual MS Walk for the Lehigh Valley at Coca-Cola Park May 5. This is the 11th year for this wonderful event.
At Gockley Elementary School, students and staff have been participating in fighting multiple sclerosis by purchasing a footprint. Footprints will be available to be purchased until April 26 and will be displayed at Gockley Elementary for the open house next month.
This activity allowed the children to contribute to the community while having fun. It also helps reinforce Gockley’s train rule of caring. There are many lives that have been touched by MS.
