LOWER MACUNGIE TOWNSHP BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
At the April 4 Lower Macungie Township Board of Commissioners meeting, Boy Scout Lino Sanchez presented a proposal for a GaGa ball court in Wild Cherry Park. The game is similar to dodgeball.
The plans include installing a corral with sustainable materials in the most suitable place in the park. This includes a request for a marker of some sort to say who constructed the GaGa ball court. Sanchez is from Boy Scout Troop 131. Sanchez expects the project to be competed by the end of summer.
With constant concerns over traffic issues within the township, a traffic concern policy was created. The policy was designed to preserve and improve safety within neighborhoods by attempting to reduce traffic volume and speeds through enforcement and traffic calming measures. Traffic calming includes physical measures.
When residents make a complaint, a written request will be made using the traffic control/signage request form. Requests will be categorized into one of four groups: speeding, signage, warnings and traffic calming. Further details are available online along with the necessary form to complete.
