Lighthouse Baptist Church, 2096 Independent Road, Breinigsville, will host a Maundy Thursday service with the celebration of the Lord’s Supper at 7 p.m. April 18.

The Easter sunrise service will be at 6 a.m. April 21 followed by breakfast and then an Easter service.

Weisenberg Lutheran Church, 7645 Weisenberg Church Road, New Tripoli, will have a Maundy Thursday service including Holy Communion 7:30 p.m. April 18.

The Good Friday service will be 7:30 p.m. April 19.

There will be an Easter Egg Hunt 1 p.m. April 20 for children ages toddler through sixth grade. Bring along a basket to fill.

Easter Sunday will include Holy Communion at the 7 a.m. and 9 a.m. services.

Ziegels Union Church, 9990 Ziegels Church Road, Breinigsville, will have an Easter Egg Hunt 2 p.m. April 13 for children birth through sixth grade The event will start in the sanctuary with a short presentation. Bring a basket for the eggs.

An adult challenge course will also take place. Refreshments will be served in the grove following the event.

The Way of the Cross will be celebrated 1-7 p.m. April 17.

A soup meal will be served throughout the day.

There will be 20 sites set up in the sanctuary for self-guided teaching.

A child friendly event will be offered 6-7 p.m.

Maundy Thursday service begins 6:30 p.m. April 18 with a Union Agape Meal (love feast) in Fellowship Hall and be served as a pot luck supper followed by informal Communion around the tables.

Call the church office to reserve a seat for the supper.

Good Friday worship will be noon and 7 p.m. April 19. Easter morning will begin 6 a.m. April 21 with a Union sunrise service beginning in the cemetery followed by communion by intinction in the sanctuary.

Holy Communion will be served at the UCC service at 8:30 a.m. and at the Lutheran service at 11:05 a.m.

Hope Community Church, 7974 Claussville Road, Weisenberg Township, will host an Easter Egg Hunt on April 13 beginning at 11 a.m. for toddlers through sixth grade. Bring baskets to fill with goodies.

Hope Church moves to two services beginning April 14.

Weisenberg Volunteer Fire Department, 2500 Golden Key Road, Kutztown, is once again having a hoagie sale until April 21 with pickup at the station 4:30-6 p.m. May 2.

Pennsylvania German Cultural Heritage Center, 22 Luckenbill Road, Kutztown, (adjacent to Kutztown University) will host a free Easter on the Farm from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. April 13.

Everyone is invited to celebrate Pa. Dutch Easter traditions. Children can learn crafts, egg hunts and view hearth cooking demonstrations.

There will be vendors, barrel rides and much more.

Weisenberg Lowhill Township Historical Society will have a basket social April 27 and 28 at the Fogelsville Auction Center.

Hours to place tickets are 2-6 p.m. April 27 and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on April 28. You do not need to be present to win. Drawing will be done after the doors close at 3 p.m. on April 28.

Phone calls will be made to the winners and pickup will be from 5-7 p.m. April 28 at the auction center.

Food and baked goods will be available for purchase on both days.
