East Penn girls in grades six through eight from Eyer Middle School are invited to participate in the second annual Girls in STEM Night at Eyer Middle School 6-8 p.m. April 11. Students will be participating in STEM activities presented by the Society of Women Engineers and will have the opportunity to learn about careers in STEM.
In addition, students from the technology and engineering department at Emmaus High School will also be invited to discuss classes that are offered at the high school level and how to get more involved. Parents are welcome to stay for the presentation and for questions.
This year’s event is new and improved with different experiences and activities. All students who participate will receive a free T-shirt designed by eighth grade student Taylor Hiestand and screen printed by the Eyer Tech Ed Department. If you would like a shirt, indicate your shirt size by selecting a size in the bottom half of the form.
If you need to cancel and can no longer attend the event, contact Mrs. Gillen at ngillen@eastpennsd.org.
Spots are limited to the first 35 students who hand in their forms, so make sure to reserve your seat. If you have any questions or concerns, contact Gillen at the above email address.
