The PSSAs in English/language arts and math will be administered April 15-May 3 to students in grades 3 through 8.

Parents are reminded to be sure their children get plenty of restful sleep and start each day with a light, healthy breakfast.

No vacation time during this testing window will be approved.

Reminder: Whitehall-Coplay School District calendar changes due to snow makeup days are as follows.

There will be school April 18.

May 10, which was a scheduled professional development day, will now be a school day for students.

The last day of school for students will now be June 12. Teachers will have a professional development day June 13.

Schools will be closed for spring break April 19-22. Schools will reopen April 23.

Prom tickets for juniors and seniors will be available online through April 19. The link to order can be found on the high school website, whitehallcoplay.org/Domain/12.

There will be two days when you will be able to purchase tickets at school - April 15 and 16, 7:30-8 a.m. or after 2:45 p.m., in front of the auditorium.

The cost is $75 for Whitehall High School students and $85 for outside guests.

In order to receive the lowest price (same as last year), order in this two-week period. Otherwise, there will be a late charge for any tickets purchased after April 19 ($85 for WHS students and $100 for outside guests).

No tickets will be sold after April 30.

Summer Academy applications are available in the counseling office for sophomores and juniors interested in academic scholarship and experience in health care, agricultural sciences and global entrepreneurship. These are elite programs offered at University of Pittsburgh, Penn State and Lehigh University.
