Dr. Andrew R. Murphy will speak about and sign copies of his new book, “William Penn: A Life,” 1 p.m. April 6, Lehigh County Historical Society’s Lehigh Valley Heritage Museum, 432 W. Walnut St., Allentown.

“William Penn: A Life” is the first major biography of Penn in more than 40 years and the first to make full use of William Penn’s private papers. Murphy is Professor of Political Science at Rutgers University who has authored or co-authored four other books and numerous articles.
