Big hearted! Requests for baked good donations for the Allentown Soup Kitchen are being made for April 8.
Baked goods prepared with Easter decorations will be gratefully accepted and may be dropped off in Heidelberg Church’s Fellowship Hall between 6-7 p.m.
According to Heidelberg Church Soup Kitchen Coordinator Linda Hausamann, 93 hot meals were served recently to the hungry and homeless at the soup kitchen.
The meal included pork tenderloin, mashed potatoes, ham and bean soup, strawberries, rolls and delicious desserts baked by Katherine Blose and Robin Koch.
Special thanks to the volunteers of the day: Matthew Loch, Barbara Matthias, Eleanor and Ron Klevenhagen and Linda Hausamann.
