STUDENT OF THE WEEK

Q: What grade are you in?

A: I am a senior at Salisbury High School.

Q: What is your favorite subject? Why?

A: My favorite subject has always been math. I enjoy math because there is always an end result to each problem.

Q: Have you received any special awards or recognition?

A: I was named treasurer of National Honor Society, the captain of the varsity basketball team and I’ve made it to states for Future Business Leaders of America.

Q: Are you involved in any extracurricular activities?

A: Outside of the classroom I am involved in National Honor Society, student government, the Class of 2019 student advisory, Future Business Leaders of America and Key Club. I also play field hockey, basketball and take part in track and field.

Q: What is your next goal after high school?

A: After high school, I plan to attend Drexel University’s LeBow College of Business and earn a degree.

Q: What would you say your biggest challenge has been so far?

A: I would say my biggest challenge has been managing my school work with my extracurriculars.

Q: What do you want to be remembered for?

A: I would like to be remembered for my contributions to the 2018-2019 Salisbury girls basketball team. On Jan. 3, I was the only scorer in our game against Notre Dame.

Q: Who is in your family?

A: My family consists of my mother, Susan; father, Eric; stepmother, Kristin; stepfather, Troy; brother, Tyler; sister, Alex and stepsiblings Emilie, Haley, Maggie and Keenan.

Q: Do you have someone you look up to?

A: I have always looked up to my father. He has taught me to be focused, motivated and determined to reach any goal I set for myself.

Q: Do you have any advice for your peers?

A: My advice to my peers is to be patient and persistent in order to achieve success.
