Sixth annual sale April 5, 6

CONSIGN FOR GOOD

Consign for Good is in its sixth year of helping homeless families in the East Penn School District in conjunction with East Penn Neighbors Helping Neighbors. The Children’s Consignment Sale, hosted by Faith Presbyterian Church of Emmaus, runs April 5 and 6.

Families in need of a little extra cash may consign at the rate of 70 percent. Consign for Good understands the heavy cost of parenting and hopes to put a little cash back into the pockets of families who may have high-quality infant and children items they no longer need.

The group also hopes to help families who may need a less expensive alternative to buying new at retail stores.

Most importantly, Consign for Good is passionate about helping those in the community who have fallen upon the hardest of times. That is why 30 percent of funds the Consign for Good group retains from consigners will go directly back into the community, as well as 100 percent of donated items sold.

The monies raised will be donated to East Penn Neighbors Helping Neighbors, a nonprofit group helping homeless families with children within the East Penn School District. They are helping these families regardless of race, religion or age. EPNHN is working with these families by providing many services such as help with food, guidance with their finances, career planning and temporary transitional housing. The monies raised will go directly toward helping these neighbors in need to get back on their feet. To date, the Consign for Good Sale has been able to donate $16,000 to EPNHN.
