Whitehall High School Theatre Club will present “Mamma Mia” April 4-7. The musicial brings romance to the stage while featuring classic ABBA hits.
With music and lyrics by Björn Ulvaeus and Benny Andersson and book by Catherine Johnson, the musical comedy debuted on Broadway in 2001.
Set in a Greek island paradise, a young bride-to-be invites three men from her mother’s past to her wedding without consulting her. She is determined to find out which one of them is her birth father, so she can ask him to walk her down the aisle.
Monique Haney directs the production. She is assisted by choreographer Melissa Zimmer and producer and music director Eddie Hong.
Show times are 7 p.m. April 4, 5 and 6 and 2 p.m. April 7 in the auditorium of Whitehall High School, 3800 Mechanicsville Road.
