Coach purse bingo 1 p.m. at Fearless Fire Company, 1221 S. Front St., Allentown, to benefit the Lehigh County Humane Society. Crime Victims Council of the Lehigh Valley’s Annual Victims’ Rights Vigil will be held 6 p.m. at the Memorial Tree of Life Grove, 3310 Chestnut Drive, Allentown. In case of inclement weather, there is a rain date scheduled 6 p.m. April 11. This year, Crime Victims Council of Lehigh Valley will commemorate this special week’s theme – “Honoring Our Past, Creating Hope for the Future.” The annual Allied Professional Awards for Lehigh and Northampton counties will be presented to Ralph Romano, Domestic Violence Detective of Lehigh County District Attorney’s Office and Alyssa Barasch of Bethlehem Area School District, who have demonstrated outstanding commitment to victims’ services. This event will be open to the public free of charge. Victim-survivors will speak about how their lives have been impacted by crime and a bell ceremony will be held in memory of loved ones taken from their families by violence.
