Katherine C. Hartzell, of Danielsville, a sophomore majoring in theater, earned dean’s list recognition at SUNY Oswego for the fall 2018 semester. Hartzell was among SUNY Oswego students who received a grade-point average of 3.3 to 3.79.

Admission to SUNY Oswego is competitive. U.S. News Media Group counts SUNY Oswego among the top public regional universities in the North for 2019, and the Princeton Review includes Oswego in its 2019 college guidebook “The Best Northeastern Colleges” and in its national list of “Green Colleges.”

Brandy N. Moser, of Northampton, has recently been named to the dean’s list at Boston University for the fall 2018 semester. Each school and college at BU has its own criterion for dean’s list, but students generally must attain a 3.5 GPA or be in the top 30 percent of their class, as well as having a full course load as a full-time student.
