Catasauqua: St. Mary’s plans dinners April 5, 12

St. Mary’s Church, 122 Union St., will hold Lenten dinners 4:30-7 p.m. April 5 and 12.

Choose from hand-breaded fantail shrimp or a pan-seared cod platter. Each platter comes with a choice of one starch - parsley buttered potatoes, macaroni and cheese or cabbage and noodles - and a choice of one side, including stewed tomatoes, creamed cabbage or applesauce. All platters include a roll, corn or green beans, Jell-O cake and beverage. Soda is not included.

Mac and cheese and cabbage and noodle platters are also available in place of fish. Children’s platters include macaroni and cheese, green beans or corn, applesauce, roll and piece of Jell-O cake.

The Presbyterian Women of the Church of Catasauqua will have a vendor, craft and bake sale 9 a.m.-2 p.m. April 6 at the church, 210 Pine St.

The public is welcome.

Breakfast and lunch will be served.

Porter-Chapman Masonic Lodge 637 F&AM, 1103 Sixth St., North Catasauqua, will be holding an all-you-can-eat spaghetti dinner fundraiser 4-7 p.m. April 6.

Proceeds benefit Northampton Area Food Bank.

Catasauqua Community Thrift Shop is open with all new spring and summer clothing.

Please stop by during regular business hours - 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays and 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Wednesdays and Saturdays.

Donations of used, clean clothing are gratefully accepted during store operation hours.

Proceeds from the shop are returned to the community through contributions that support youth and adult programs and services.
