A Pennsylvania State Police trooper responded to Shoemaker Elementary School, 4068 N. Fairview St., Lower Macungie Township, 3:48 p.m. March 11 after a knife reportedly was found in the purse of a female student by a teacher at the school. According to police, the teacher reported she witnessed a student holding a purse throughout the day. The teacher found the purse on the ground and observed a knife located inside the purse. Contact was made with the student involved and the incident was resolved within the school district, according to state police.

A 32-year-old male, of Slatington, is accused of harassment and disorderly conduct after he shoved another person during a verbal argument in the 4300 block of Hamilton Boulevard, Lower Macungie Township, 8:20 p.m. Feb. 18, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

A 25-year-old female, of Palmerton, made several fraudulent transactions using her former employer’s checking account information to pay her bills 12:36 p.m. Jan. 18, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The business where the suspect worked is in the 2300 block of South Cedar Crest Boulevard, Lower Macungie Township.

Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville are investigating the possible theft of two computer processing units in an incident along South Krocks Road at Hamilton Boulevard, Lower Macungie Township, between 5:15 and 6:40 p.m. Jan. 31. According to police, three computer processing units fell from a truck and one was recovered at the scene. The other two units remain unaccounted for, according to police. An 85-year-old female reported Feb. 6 to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville she noticed money was missing from her residence in the 1600 block of Spring Creek Road, Lower Macungie Township. She believed the money was removed between Jan. 26 and 29. The total loss was $60. A 45-year-old female, of Macungie, reported her wallet was removed from her handbag while at Panera Bread, 6379 Hamilton Blvd., Lower Macungie Township, 11 a.m. March 5. The wallet contained multiple credit cards, a driver’s license and a Social Security card. Between noon and 1:30 p.m. the same day the woman’s credit cards were used at two Target stores and a GameStop store. Video surveillance from the stores showed two males and one female suspect. The suspects were utilizing a Dodge van with an unknown license plate, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

An unknown person removed deer antlers from a pickup truck bed while the truck was parked in the 7300 block of Hillcrest Drive, Lower Macungie Township, between Feb. 24 and 28. The truck bed was covered but not locked, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.
