Anthony J. Diglio

Anthony (Tony) J. Diglio, died March 21, 2019, with his loving family present. He was the husband of Norma R. (Sprague) Diglio for 62 years. Born in Oyster Bay, N.Y., he was the son of the late Albina (Troisi) Diglio and Domnick Diglio.

He graduated salutatorian and received the Bausch and Lomb Science Award from Oyster Bay, N.Y. High School. He graduated from Massachusetts Institute of Technology with Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in chemical engineering, Tau Beta Pi, Honorary Scholastic Engineering Society. He was a licensed professional engineer in the states of New Jersey, Texas and Pennsylvania.

He worked for Pfizer in Groton, Conn., Celanese Chemical in Texas and the Netherlands and lastly Air Products and Chemicals, Trexlertown, where he attained the position of corporate director of environmental activities. After retirement he founded and managed Global Enviro-Solutions, Inc. and co-founded and co-managed Apex Associates, Inc., a consulting firm with other colleagues.

He is survived by his wife; sons Mark and his wife Rima, Eric and his wife Lori, Craig and his girlfriend Michelle; grandchildren, Stephen and Mark and Ryan and Tara Frye.

Prayers will be offered 10:15 a.m. March 30 at the Bachman, Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Home, 225 Elm St., Emmaus. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. March 30 at St. Ann Catholic Church, Emmaus. Viewings will be held 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. March 29 and 9 to 10:15 a.m. March 30 in the funeral home.
