HEIDELBERG TOWNSHIP H.A.R.P. taking road trip, April 2, to Allentown preservation museum

Calling all retirees! Heidelberg Association for Retired Persons, better known as H.A.R.P., will meet 10:15 a.m. April 2 at Heidelberg Church and car pool to the Preservation Plus and More Museum, Allentown.

This museum provides a great opportunity to see historic farm and garden equipment up close and personal.

Following the tour, this busy bunch of retirees will stop for some lunch at a nearby restaurant.

Remember, you do not need to be a Heidelberg Church member to attend.

All are welcome to come.

Family favorite! Lehigh-Northampton County Grangers will get together to bake their delicious, 10-inch, wet-bottom, shoofly pies.

Order now by calling Elaine Hoppes at 610-767-4400.

Pies may be picked up 1-3 p.m. April 6 at the Schnecksville Grange, Route 863, Schnecksville.

Proceeds from this bake sale will benefit various community service projects.

Sweet stuff! Heidelberg Union Church is having a cookie sale.

Order cutout cookies by the pound no later than April 7 by calling 610-767-5351 or 610-767-6557.

Pickup orders 4-6 p.m. April 12 in fellowship hall.

Kick up your heels! Ontelaunee Rod and Gun Club, New Tripoli, is having its annual spring sportsmen’s raffle and block shoot, April 7. The public is invited.

There will be free snacks and beverages noon-5 p.m.

Tickets will be available to purchase to win 10 firearms and 40 Weis gift certificates.

Each ticket also entitles the holder to a free hot dog or barbecue.

Drawings will take place throughout the day with specials at 2 p.m. and 4 p.m.

This year, there will be an additional raffle drawing for a new Henry Golden Boy Rife, which you must be present to win.

The kitchen will be open for lunch.
