State Police Troop M, Fogelsville, are seeking the public’s help in solving a pedestrian hit and run, which occurred Nov. 29, 2013, on southbound Route 222, north of the Kressler Road intersection, Lower Macungie Township.

According to police, Michael Mason, who was 36 at the time of the crash, was walking along the west berm, when a southbound vehicle on Route 222 struck him.

Police say the vehicle’s bumper, which was approximately 17 inches from the ground, struck Mason on his left calf.

Mason was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver left the scene before arrival of police.
