Northampton: Grace UCC to serve Lenten crab cake dinners
Grace United Church of Christ, 902 Lincoln Ave., will hold Lenten crab cake dinners 5-7 p.m. March 22 and 29.
Dinners include a baked potato, coleslaw, roll and butter, dessert and a beverage. Chicken finger dinners will also be available for adults and children.
Tickets can be purchased at the door. Takeout is available.

Northampton Mayor Thomas Reenock has proclaimed March 27 as Mayor Day in observance of Meals on Wheels’ 17th annual March of Meals in the borough.
Reenock, along with other county and state officials, will participate in the event by helping to deliver meals to homebound senior citizens.
“I urge residents of Northampton and surrounding communities to join me in extending our gratitude and congratulations to Meals on Wheels of Northampton County on its 17th annual March for Meals and its dedicated and loyal services to our communities,” Reenock said.

Nut rolls are available in the following varieties: apricot, lekvar, nut, poppy seed, red raspberry and coconut.

The 67th annual Festival of Bands will be held 2:30 p.m. April 28 in the auditorium of Northampton Area High School, 1619 Laubach Ave. The event, featuring the Allentown, Marine, Municipal and Pioneer bands, will present a pops concert with music from the 1960s, ’70s and ’80s. Enjoy selections from The Association, Ray Charles, Frank Sinatra, Journey, Queen and The Beatles.
The NAHS jazz ensemble will be a special guest.
Admission is free. All freewill offerings collected will benefit Lehigh Valley children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Queenship of Mary Cenacle is sponsoring a bus trip to see the show “Jesus” at Sight & Sound Theatre, Lancaster, May 9.
The cost includes everything but the buffet luncheon at Shady Maple.
