We’re busy preparing for our spring book and bake sale, so mark your calendar for 11 a.m.-4 p.m. April 5 and 6. There will be books for all ages, including a special section featuring books that appear on school reading lists.

If you are interested in baking for the sale, contact a board member or stop by the library.

We are accepting donations for our April book sale. We do accept donations throughout the year for the other book sales as well.

For your safety, drop them off at the circulation desk during open hours, which are 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays and 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays.

Call the library at 610-262-7351 or visit coplaypubliclibrary.org for donation guidelines.

Help us commemorate the borough’s 150th anniversary. If you have any photographs, mementos or keepsakes of Coplay, we would love to borrow them to display in the library.

Anything you tell us about the objects would also be a great help. We will display your name with the items.

During the month of April, we will be highlighting the 1969 centennial and subsequent important historical events.

If you haven’t received your new library card, come and we’ll register you. Bring your driver’s license or photo identification and your Coplay library card, as well as any other library cards you may have. You will need to fill out a new registration card.

A parent must accompany children under age 18.

You will not only get a new library card, but a keychain card as well. You will be able to use your new card at 11 local libraries in Lehigh and Carbon counties.

The registration process does take a few minutes to complete. We thank you in advance for your patience.
