April 9 Open House - South Side campus
There will be an open house for Dental Hygiene, Massage Therapy and Medical Assistant tours at the Fowler Family South Side location from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. April 9. Fall 2019 priority registration

March 31 FAFSA priority deadline
The priority deadline for students to submit the financial aid application (FAFSA) for the coming 2019-20 academic year is March 31. Help with completing the application is available from the college’s financial aid staff. Students may make an appointment by calling financial aid at 610-861-5510.
Student art display opens March 25
Northampton Community College’s first-year art students’ work will be displayed at the juried Patrick J. Kraus Drawing Competition from March 25 through April 9, in the gallery at Communications Hall, 3835 Green Pond Road, Bethlehem Township. There will be a reception from 11 a.m. to noon April 9
The annual competition was established by the late John “Duke” Kraus, former NCC bookstore manager, and his wife Katherine, in memory of their son, Patrick Kraus, a talented young artist who attended NCC in the 1985-86 academic Year.
Admission is free and open to the public. Gallery hours are Monday - Thursday, 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.; Friday and Saturday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. ; Sunday: closed.
Farmer’s Market open Wednesdays

Chess tournament March 30
The 18th annual spring youth chess tournament for USCF rated players 18 and under, as well as non-rated players 14 and under, will be held from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. March 30 in the David A. Reed Community Room, #220, College Center, at the main campus.
There will be five rounds of chess in both sections. Prizes, trophies and random draw prizes will be awarded. Parents are welcome. Bring your own lunch; pizza will be available for purchase.

Students, staff and faculty will support local nonprofits in the Lehigh Valley and Monroe County areas from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 3.

LaunchBox Ladies series continues April 11
The ‘LaunchBox Ladies: From Passion to Profit’ educational series, which focuses on the unique challenges and victories of female entrepreneurs, continues at 11:30 to 1 p.m. April 11 at Penn State Lehigh Valley campus, 2809 Saucon Valley Road, Center Valley. The limited first-come, first-served basis event is open to students and the public.
The speakers are Vassie Ware, professor of biological sciences at Lehigh University, and Kathryn Colonna Worrilow, founder and CEO of LifeAire Systems. They will use multiple formats, including conversational interviews, videos and events.
