A “One” and: Munopco Music Theatre concludes its 2018-19 season with what it bills as a “stunning concept musical.”

“A Chorus Line” is the quintessential show-within-a show. Seventeen dancers audition for a Broadway show chorus line. The setting is the bare stage of a theater. Dancers reveal their motivations with humor, pathos and drama.

“A Chorus Line,” with music by Marvin Hamlisch, lyrics by Edward Kleban and book by James Kirkwood and Nicholas Dante, received the Pulitzer Prize for Drama in 1976 and nine Tony Awards, including Musical, Book and Score.

The Broadway production ran for 6,137 performances, longest-running in Broadway history until surpassed by “Cats” in 1997.

Favorite numbers include “What I Did For Love” and “One.”

The Munopco show is directed by Daniel Petrovich, with music direction by Chris Hamm and choreography by Ali Santos.

Seth Rohrbach has the lead role of director Zach. Jennifer Dorn portrays his assistant, Laurie.

Hoping to make the chorus line are Grace Lingenfelter (Cassie), Clive Martin (Mike), Jordan Fidalgo (Sheila), Andrew Stewart (Richie), Melissa Dorflinger (Val), Brian Houp (Don), Ali Santos (Diana), Isaiah Headrington (Paul), Marissa Dibilio (Judy), Edwin Lopez (Mark), Shannon Cornish (Kristine), Ricardo Negron (Greg), Mariah Nagle (Maggie), Jaedon Muhl (Bobby), Mary Eitzenberger (Bebe), Gabriel Craig (Al) and Abigail Simon (Connie).
