State Police Troop M, Bethlehem, say a 42-year-old Orefield man reported that at 3:19 a.m. March 2 three individuals stole an undetermined amount of e-cigarettes after breaking the front door to the convenience store at 6391 Route 309, Heidelberg Township.
State Police Troop M, Fogelsville, say Cheyenne M. Zirkle, 22, of Palmerton was driving a 1996 Honda Civic eastbound on Kings Highway, near its intersection with Strawberry Court, at 4:42 a.m. March 10, when the car hit a patch of ice and Zirkle lost control of the vehicle.
Police say it was sleeting and foggy and the roadway had patchy spots of ice at the time of the crash.
Neither Zirkle nor her passenger Sarah C. Zirkle, 24, of Palmerton, who police say were wearing their seat belts, were injured.
The car was removed by Stew’s Towing.
Zirkle was charged with driving at an unsafe speed, police say.
