Good Will Fire Company No. 1, Trexlertown had its annual fastnacht sale March 2 at the fire station.

With a large crew at work, the fire company made more than 3,000 dozen of the doughy Lenten treats.

The work took dedication and long hours of hard work from members of the fire department, the ladies auxiliary and the community to make such a huge quantity of fastnachts.

Good Will Fire Company is one of the last Lehigh Valley organizations to use potatoes in its recipe, making them true to the original deep-fried.
