Fullerton: St. John’s UCC plans Lenten services

St. John’s United Church of Christ, 575 Grape St., will be holding special Lenten worship services 6:30 p.m. Wednesday nights in Fox Hall.

Join in for soup and bread - and sometimes dessert. The dates are March 20 and 27 and April 3 and 10.

St. Elizabeth of Hungary Roman Catholic Church, 618 Fullerton Ave., will be having a Lenten fish dinner 4-7 p.m. March 22 in the parish hall, featuring its own legendary cook, Deb Shuster.

The menu includes breaded fish, fish sticks for children, coleslaw, roll, beverage, dessert and a choice of two sides (roasted potatoes, mac and cheese, stewed tomatoes or corn).

Takeout will be available.

Advance discounted tickets will be available after all Masses or by calling 610-266-0695.

There will be a cash bingo 2 p.m. March 24 at the West Catasauqua Playground building, 2301 Pine St.

The doors will open 1 p.m.

There is a cost as well as specials. There will also be a 50/25/25 raffle and gift card basket raffle.

Refreshments will be available for purchase.

All proceeds go to benefit the programs for the Whitehall Active Community Center.
