The Northeast MS Theatre Company presented “The Lion King, Jr.” at two filled to capacity performances Feb. 28 and March 2 and three earlier performances before students and faculty. Based on the Broadway production directed by Julie Taymor and the book by Roger Allers and Irene Mecchi, with music by Elton John and Tim Rice, “Lion King, Jr.” traces the challenges faced and rise to head of the pride by the lion cub Simba. The Northeast production was directed by Natalie Parker with the assistance of Connie Klose and Deanna Korhammer on set design, Jodie Johnson on costume design, Denise Parker on choreography and music, and Justin Amann on technical direction.
