The preview gala, “Main Streets of the Lehigh Valley,” for the 2019 Lehigh Valley Auto Show, will be held 6-10 p.m. March 20 at Stabler Arena, Lehigh University, Goodman Campus, Bethlehem. Proceeds benefit St. Luke’s University Health Network.

The 22nd annual Lehigh Valley Auto Show presented by the Greater Lehigh Valley Auto Dealers Association, with the theme, “Driving the Valley,” 10 a.m. - 9 p.m. March 21, 22, 23 and 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. March 24, will have more than 150,000-square-feet of displays of new cars, trucks, SUVs, crossovers, vans and cycles in Stabler and three other venues on the Goodman Campus.

The March 20 preview gala includes food, cocktails and music showcasing three of the Lehigh Valley’s main streets: Hamilton Street, Allentown; Main Street, Bethlehem, and Northampton Street, Easton. The ticketed event is open to the public.

“Community Days” are March 21 and 22 at the Lehigh Valley Auto Show. Participating nonprofits sell discounted advance tickets as a fundraiser for their organizations.

“St. Luke’s University Health Network Appreciation Night” is the evening of March 21 at the Lehigh Valley Auto Show.

The Women’s Business Council of the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce hosts its annual scholarship fundraiser for the first time at the Lehigh Valley Auto Show with “Top Chef of the Valley,” 5 - 7 p.m. March 21, with wine-tasting and feature dishes samples from Lehigh Valley chefs.

“Military And First Responder Appreciation Day” is March 22. Admission is free with a valid ID. Accompanying family members, up to four, may attend at half-price admission.

“Since 2009, our organizaton has raised $1.2 million to support multiple organizations,” said Greater Lehigh Valley Auto Dealers Association President Sam Borrelli, president of Faulkner Chevrolet Cadillac, Bethlehem, at the Feb. 19 auto show press conference at Stabler.

“They want to see what the best has to offer,” said Greater Lehigh Valley Auto Dealers Association Executive Director Tom Kwiatek. “Show visitors can compare products in the same segment.”

The chair of this year’s auto show is Tom Daub, Brown-Daub Dealerships President.

Attending the auto show press conference were St. Luke’s University Hospital - Bethlehem, President and Chief Nursing Officer Carol Kuplen and St. Luke’s University Hospital Children’s Services Service Line Manager Jessika Haynos.

They announced a new Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) and renovation of the inpatient pediatric unit by early 2020 at St. Luke’s University Hospital - Bethlehem.

“More babies are born at St. Luke’s than any other facility in the Lehigh Valley,” Kuplen said.

Of the estimated $10-million in pediatric-care improvements, Haynos said, “It will expand the level of care we can provide at St. Luke’s.”

On display at the Feb. 19 press conference were: an Audi Q8, from Audi Allentown; Cadillac XT4 AWD Sport Edition, Faulkner Chevrolet Cadillac; Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio, Fiat Alfa Romeo of the Lehigh Valley; Jaguar I Pace, Jaguar Land Rover of the Lehigh Valley; Land Rover Range Rover, Jaguar Land Rover of the Lehigh Valley; Infiniti QX 50, Bennett Infiniti; Maserati Levante, Bennett Maserati of Allentown; Mercedes Benz S560V4, Mercedes Benz of the Lehigh Valley, and Porsche 911 GTS, Porsche of the Lehigh Valley.

The Lehigh Valley Auto Show includes “Ride and Drive” programs, expanded “Auto Show Marketplace,” Geico distracted-driving simulator, St. Luke’s University Health Network child safety seats display, and classic cars.
