STUDENT OF THE WEEK
Q: What grade are you in?
A: I am a senior at Salisbury High School.
Q: What is your favorite subject? Why?
A: My favorite subject is science specifically anatomy because science is very factual and peaks an interest I have always been interested in exploring the scientific world.
Q: Have you received any special awards or recognition?
A: I have been awarded and recognized in the following: 2017 Colonial League Honorable Mention Midfielder; 2017 Lehigh Valley Live All-Area Honorable Mention Midfielder, 2018 Colonial League First Team All-League Team Midfielder, 2018 Morning Call All-Area Honorable Mention Midfielder, senior year awarded offensive Most Valuable Player for Salisbury High School.
Q: Are you involved in any extracurricular activities?
A: I have been involved in our field hockey team for four years, was the boys basketball manager for two years and participated in track and field for two years. Along with participating in sports, I also participate in student government advisory, No Place for Hate, National Honor Society, Best Buddies and am the Class of 2019 vice president. Outside of school, I volunteer at Camelot for Children Inc. which is a nonprofit organization for kids with disabilities. I have been volunteering there for the past four years.
Q: What is your next goal after high school?
A: My goal after high school is to attend Alvernia University to further my academic and athletic career. I plan to pursue a career in pediatric physical therapy.
Q: What would you say your biggest challenge has been so far?
A: My biggest challenge so far is being able to keep up my high school academics along with my college class work and exams.
Q: What do you want to be remembered for?
A: I would like to be remembered for my kindness and always greeting others in the hallway.
Q: Who is in your family?
A: My family includes my mother Lori, my father Brian and my older brother Tyler.
Q: Do you have someone you look up to?
A: I look up to my older cousin Kyle because he has shown me that if you continue to work hard throughout your high school and college career you can achieve anything.
Q: Do you have any advice for your peers?
A: One piece of advice I would give my peers is to make sure to maintain your studies and academics but also to enjoy the fun activities high school provides.
