A 17-year-old male, of East Greenville, escaped injury when his vehicle overturned onto its roof in a single car accident along Kings Highway, Lower Milford Township, 9:30 a.m. Jan. 29. According to Pennsylvania State Police, the teen was driving a 2003 Volkswagen Jetta along Kings Highway South at Milky Way when he lost control of the vehicle when attempting to negotiate a left curve in the road and struck an embankment. The vehicle flipped and came to rest in the middle of the road. The driver was cited.

A 60-year-old male, of Mertztown, was slightly hurt and was taken to Lehigh Valley Hospital, after the small box truck he was driving overturned on Mountain Road, Lower Macungie Township, 5:44 p.m. Jan. 31. According to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville, the man was driving a 2014 Peterbilt 337 truck, just east of Schoeneck Road, when he exited his lane of travel due to icy road conditions. The truck hit an embankment on the left side of the road and the impact caused the truck to topple onto the passenger’s side of the vehicle.

Macungie Ambulance Corps also responded.

A 56-year-old driver, of Emmaus, and his 57-year-old passenger, sustained minor injuries when a tree fell on the vehicle they were in along East Macungie Road in Upper Milford Township. According to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville, the male was driving a 2010 Lexus LS460 northbound in the 4300 block of East Macungie Road 5:04 a.m. Feb. 24 when a tree was toppled by high winds and fell onto the vehicle. The vehicle came to a final rest a few feet north of the crash. The passenger was taken to the hospital for suspected injuries.

A 23-year-old male, of Allentown, removed merchandise, gift cards and cash totaling approximately $1,712 from Walmart, 1091 Mill Creek Road, Lower Macungie Township, between Jan. 7 and Feb. 8.

An unknown person selected merchandise, valued at more than $5,000, placed the merchandise in a golf bag and left Dick’s Sporting Goods, 707 N. Krocks Road, Suite 101, Lower Macungie Township, 8:14 p.m. Feb. 5.

A 20-year-old female, of Bethlehem and a 21-year-old female, also of Bethlehem, removed six items with a total value of $356.97 from Kohl’s, 6900 Hamilton Blvd., Lower Macungie Township, 4:09 p.m. Jan. 28.

Three individuals entered CVS, 958 S. Krocks Road, Lower Macungie Township and removed miscellaneous cold medication 3:18 p.m. Jan. 23.

A 33-year-old female, of Allentown, was accused of retail theft after she failed to scan 12 items valued at $62.19 while using a self-checkout register at Walmart, 1091 Mill Creek Road, Lower Macungie Township, 3:49 p.m. Jan. 29.

A 20-year-old female, of Allentown, was taken into custody for retail theft after she attempted to exit Walmart, 1091 Mill Creek Road, Lower Macungie Township, without paying for various grocery items, 3:55 p.m. Jan. 26. A loss prevention associate at the store detained the woman until a state police trooper arrived, police said.

Two male teenagers were involved in a physical altercation with a 55-year-old male, of Macungie, after bumping into one another in a shopping aisle at Walmart, 1091 Mill Creek Road, Lower Macungie Township, 3:56 p.m. Feb. 23, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. No serious injuries occurred.

A Pennsylvania State Fogelsville trooper responded to a residence in the 900 block of South Krocks Road, Lower Macungie Township, 7 a.m. Feb. 23 after receiving a report of a vehicle driven without permission. The vehicle, a 2003 silver Toyota Corolla with the Pennsylvania registration JXA 4927, was not returned to its owner. Anyone with information regarding this vehicle is asked to contact Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville at 610-395-1438.

A 63-year-old female resident, of Pleasant Circle, Lower Macungie Township, reported to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville a $2,000 withdrawal from her bank account after she allowed access to her computer to an unknown person 12:51 p.m. Feb. 4. An 88-year-old female resident of Legend Senior Living personal care center, Lower Macungie Township, reported an unknown person removed $240 from her residence between Jan. 25 and 27. Anyone with information about the incident may contact Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville at 610-395-1438.

Michael Wilfired Stcome, 29, of Allentown, was taken into custody for allegedly removing $200 in cash from a cash register where he was working at Walmart, 1091 Mill Creek Road, Lower Macungie Township, Feb. 13 after Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville responded to the store for the report of a theft by a store employee. Stcome allegedly was seen on surveillance footage removing the cash from the register. Stcome also allegedly was observed on surveillance footage scanning various items without paying for the items Feb. 20, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

A 64-year-old female, of Lower Macungie Township, reported an unknown person cashed a fraudulent check in her name noon Feb. 15, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The total monetary loss was $2,400.
