Hokendauqua: Woman’s group plans March 11 meeting

Members of Woman’s Club of Whitehall Township are resuming their meetings, starting March 11, at Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church, 3355 MacArthur Road. A pizza party is planned for 6 p.m., with entertainment by Rob Ballonoff.

Members are reminded the Snack Pack Pals donation for this month is individual cereal boxes.

Whitehall Lions Club will have a basket social 9 a.m.-2 p.m., with the prize drawing and pickup 2-4 p.m., March 30 at Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church. Food, bottled water and soda will be available for purchase.

If you would like to donate a basket, drop it off at Whitehall Township Public Library, 3700 Mechanicsville Road.

Walking tours of the historic village of Hokendauqua will be April 27. There is a rain date of May 4.

The free hourlong tours will be given between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. and will start at First Presbyterian Church of Hokendauqua, 3005 S. Front St.

Hokendauqua Park and Playground is hosting a designer purse bingo fundraiser, featuring Coach, Kate Spade, Michael Kors and Vera Bradley items, April 28 at Victor C. Talotta Park, Cementon. Doors open noon, and bingo begins 1 p.m.

There will also be specials, door prizes, a Chinese auction and food.
