Ghendor Genao, 37, of Allentown, was taken into custody for alleged retail theft and resisting arrest after he ran from troopers who responded to Walmart, 1091 Mill Creek Road, Lower Macungie Township, 1:30 p.m. Jan. 21, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. Genao allegedly was apprehended in Target, 749 N. Krocks Road, Lower Macungie Township.

Fanny Loreto Ludizaca, 35, of Allentown, allegedly attempted to remove $270 worth of merchandise from Walmart, 1091 Mill Creek Road, Lower Macungie Township, 2:15 p.m. Jan. 12, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

Pedro Concepcion, 26, of Allentown, was taken into custody for retail theft after he allegedly attempted to remove merchandise with a total value of $373.39 from Walmart, 1091 Mill Creek Road, Lower Macungie Township, 11:52 a.m. Dec. 22, 2018, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

A 30-year-old female, of Allentown, was taken into custody for a retail theft at Walmart, 1091 Mill Creek Road, Lower Macungie Township, 6:50 p.m. Jan. 12.

Miguel Angel Thillet Gomez, 36, of Allentown and Grace Marie Rivera Ortiz, 26, of Allentown, were taken into custody for retail theft after they allegedly under rang miscellaneous merchandise with a total value of $246.06 as they scanned items at a self-checkout register at Walmart, 1091 Mill Creek Road, Lower Macungie Township, 3:41 p.m. Jan. 12, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

Two juvenile females face retail theft charges after they admitted to removing medications from Walgreens, 6379 Hamilton Blvd., Lower Macungie Township, 3:37 p.m. Jan. 23. According to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville, troopers responded to the store and spoke with a store manager who said she received a telephone call from a detective with the Northern Berks Regional police department Jan. 24. The detective said his patrol officers conducted a traffic stop and found more than $440 worth of over-the-counter medications in two backpacks in the vehicle. The juveniles in the vehicle admitted to taking the medications, according to police. The store manager at Walgreens, Lower Macungie Township, retrieved video surveillance footage and observed the juveniles shoplifting.

A 49-year-old female, of Allentown, was charged with retail theft after she allegedly avoided paying for multiple items by covering the barcodes of the items with her hand to prevent the items from being scanned while using a self-checkout register at Walmart, 1091 Mill Creek Road, Lower Macungie Township, 1:56 p.m. Jan. 12.

Jessica Marie Geist, 26, of Alburtis, was taken into custody after she allegedly removed merchandise with a total approximate value of $246.42 from Walmart, 1091 Mill Creek Road, Lower Macungie Township, 4 p.m. Dec. 20, 2018, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

A 45-year-old female, of Macungie, was cited for retail theft after she under rang $117.95 in merchandise at Target, 749 N. Krocks Road, Lower Macungie Township, Dec. 23, 2018, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

An unknown person removed men’s shaving products valued at $1,200 from Walgreens, 6379 Hamilton Blvd., Lower Macungie Township, 2 p.m. Jan. 17.

A 52-year-old male, of Fountain Hill, removed several items from Walmart, 1091 Mill Creek Road, Lower Macungie Township, 4:29 p.m. Jan. 15.

A male and a female parked in a lot at Giant Food Stores, 7150 Hamilton Blvd., Lower Macungie Township and entered the store at separate times Jan. 18. They each concealed several items in store shopping bags. Both left the store and fled the area in a gray Hyundai Accent two-door vehicle. Anyone with information on this incident may contact Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville at 610-395-1438.

An unknown person removed a bottle of Jose Cuervo ultimate peach margarita mix from Wine and Spirits, 750 N. Krocks Road, Lower Macungie Township, 7:30 p.m. Jan. 17.

Employees at Costco Wholesale warehouse membership club, 791 N. Krocks Road, Lower Macungie Township, reported to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville Nov. 23, 2018, that a person was fraudulently purchasing cell phones from the store under a false name and account. The total value of the phones was estimated at more than $13,000.

A 33-year-old resident of Lower Macungie Township reported to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville 8:36 p.m. Nov. 23, 2018, her PayPal account information had been stolen and used to make several fraudulent purchases.

A 42-year-old resident of Lower Macungie Township reported to Pennsylvania State Police her personal information was used to open fraudulent credit card accounts out of Brooklyn, N.Y., 7:07 p.m. Jan. 22.

An unknown person gained access to and used the personal information of a Lower Macungie Township resident to attempt to obtain several personal loans Jan. 2.

Gregory Israel Pope, 35, of Allentown, was taken into custody for suspicion of driving under the influence after a traffic stop on Lower Macungie Road, west of South Krocks Road, Lower Macungie Township, 1:05 a.m. Jan. 10.

An 18-year-old male, of Macungie, was placed under arrest for driving under the influence after a traffic stop at Brookside Road and Sauerkraut Lane, Lower Macungie Township, 1:07 a.m. Dec. 24, 2018.

A Lower Macungie Township resident purchased two gift cards worth $1,000 each in a telephone scam 8:15 a.m. Dec. 6, 2018, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The gift cards were canceled and the Macungie resident was reimbursed.

A Lower Macungie Township resident reported paying approximately $928 in one check and $365 in another Nov. 26, 2018, for a cruise and flight to take place Dec. 28, 2018. The checks were sent to suspects in Easton and Hellertown, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The checks were cashed Nov. 13, 2018 and Nov. 20, 2018. Upon checking the status of the reservation with the cruise line, the Lower Macungie Township resident discovered there was no record of a reservation.

A Lower Macungie Township resident sent $3,085 by wire transfer in a telephone scam Dec. 22, 2018, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

An Upper Milford Township resident reported to Pennsylvania State Police a check belonging to the resident was forged and cashed Nov. 13, 2018.

A 39-year-old man, of Zionsville, was unhurt in a hit and run crash on Churchview Road, Upper Milford Township, 7:36 p.m. Dec. 23, 2018, after his pickup truck struck a utility pole and flipped onto is left side.

The vehicle was westbound and negotiating a left curve when it veered off the right side of the road and struck the pole. The driver fled the accident scene but was later charged, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

Mechanics Plus, Upper Milford Fire Department and PPL Electric Utilities also responded.
