Coplay police responded to these and other calls recently.

FEB. 4

Police received a report of an industrial Sawzall being advertised for sale on the website Let Go. The item had the markings of a stolen saw belonging to an electrical contractor in Allentown. A meeting with the seller was set up in Coplay, and the saw was identified as belonging to the contractor. The male who arrived with the saw was taken into custody.

Officers responded to a report of a fox in someone’s yard in the 300 block of Margaret Drive.

The department performed a welfare check in the unit block of North Sixth Street.

Police responded to a report of a cat in someone’s garage in the unit block of South Third Street.

FEB. 5

A vehicle stop was conducted in the 900 block of Chestnut Street. During the stop, it was found the operator had a suspended license and an outstanding warrant in Lehigh County. The male was taken into custody.

A parking complaint in the 200 block of Center Street was addressed.

Officers investigated a suspicious vehicle at South Fifth and Hokendauqua streets.

A written warning was issued during a traffic stop at South Second and Hokendauqua streets.

Police performed a welfare check in the 100 block of Chestnut Street.

A driver was cited for texting while driving in the 900 block of Chestnut Street.

An unwanted person in the 100 block of Chestnut Street was reported.

FEB. 8

Police offered a protection-from-abuse service in the 800 block of Chestnut Street.

Officers assisted North Catasauqua police with searching an abandoned building in the 1100 block of Second Street.

FEB. 9

A hit-and-run accident in the 100 block of South Fourth Street brought police to the scene.

Suspicious activity in the 300 block of Schreiber Avenue was reported.

Officers investigated a residential alarm in the unit block of North Seventh Street.

The department responded to a report of an open door in the unit block of North Front Street.

A noise complaint in the 1000 block of Oak Street was reported.
