William Charles Herndon, of Whitehall, died Feb. 2, 2019, at Fellowship Manor. He was the husband of Joyce Herndon for 55 years.
Born in Montgomery, W.Va., he was a son of the late Cecil and Ethel (Rader) Herndon.
He graduated with honors from the West Virginia Institute of Technology, as an electrical engineer.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by an identical twin brother, Thomas; three children, William (Cindy), Barbara and Mary (Josh); five grandchildren, William, Alyssa, Victoria, Stephen and Morgan; a great-grandchild, Beau; and a sister-in-law, Barbara (Tom) Feneis.
He was a member of the NRA. He coached and refereed girls’ soccer and Little League baseball in Oakland, N.J.; and showed horses.
There will be calling times 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m., followed by funeral services 12:30 p.m., Feb. 8 at the funeral home, 327 Chestnut St., Coplay, 18037.
Contributions may be made to St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, c/o the funeral home.
