Emmaus gets lucky with 13th annual SnowBlast

Sunny skies and ‘balmy’ 30 degree weather greeted art enthusiasts at the 13th annual SnowBlast Winter Arts Festival Feb. 2 in downtown Emmaus. After the recent bout of snow and bitter subzero temperatures, folks were able to enjoy a day of activities centered around Emmaus Triangle Park without worrying about frostbite.

The family-friendly event, hosted by the Emmaus Arts Commission, featured local artist demonstrations, ice sculpture and wood carving, “Palette Walk” scavenger hunt, winter crafts, live music, ice skating performances by the SnowBlast Ice Princess and interactive art activities.

The Emmaus Historical Society, Emmaus Public Library and more than two dozen local businesses participated in, or contributed to, the well-attended festivities.
