STUDENT PROFILE - Jaden Freeman, Liberty HS - coordinated by Julie Swan
Grade: 12
Family members: My family includes Jennie Freeman (Mom), Hector Garcia (stepdad), Sean Freeman (brother), Jaevon Freeman (brother) and Jaylanie Freeman (niece).
Favorite subject: My favorite subjects are history and math. I love studying history because it helps us understand change, and how the society we live in came to be. Math is another favorite subject because I am good at it and I like money.
Activities: I am on three varsity teams at Liberty. I play defensive tackle in football, I am a heavyweight wrestler and I am part of the track and field team where I do shotput and discus.
Next steps: My plan after high school is to attend a four-year college, hopefully with a scholarship to play football or wrestle.
Career goals: Once I complete my bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, my goal is to become an FBI agent or police officer.
Heroes: My hero is my mother. She is always there for us when we need her. She is a single parent who took on the role of mother and father. She works hard to keep food on the table and provides anything my brothers or I need. My mother attends all my sporting events, and she is my biggest supporter.
Hobbies: My hobbies include fishing, cooking and drawing.
Volunteer/community work: Aside from volunteering at my church, I enjoy volunteering every year with the Special Olympics at Liberty. Also, the Liberty football team gives back to the Bethlehem community in various ways throughout the year. I participate and help as often as I can.
Likes: I like going to haunted houses, spending time with my family and friends, and I like eating different types of food.
Dislikes: I dislike lasagna.
Greatest accomplishment (so far): My greatest accomplishment is making it this far, only a few months away from graduating high school, and making my mom proud by staying out of trouble and making good decisions. I’m making it in the classroom and on the field. I will always represent my last name and my family with pride and respect, and never give anyone a reason to say anything negative about either of them.
Advice for peers: Mistakes are unavoidable but you can learn from them and use them to avoid repetition.
Student profile subjects are selected by faculty and administration at the individual schools.
