Rep. Justin Simmons, R-131st, will host hours at his district office, 21 N. Main St., Unit 9, Coopersburg, Feb. 1 for area veterans and their families to receive help regarding programs and benefits.

A veterans outreach specialist from the American Legion will be available 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Issues the specialist can help with include: compensation and pension claims; education benefits; enrollment in the VA health care system; burial and survivor benefits, state benefits and obtaining military and medical records.
