Kindergarten registration open

The Bethlehem Area School District is now enrolling incoming students for the 2019-2020 school years. Full-day kindergarten classrooms offer support based on each individual child’s needs.

Mini-Thon set for April 27

The BASD Mini Thon Fight Against Pediatric Cancer will be held from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. April 27 at. Liberty High School. There will be 12 hours of activities. For more information on this and other Mini Thon events, visit http://basdminithon.com/.

District schools benefit from grant

The Wells Fargo Foundation has named the United Way of the Greater Lehigh Valley as the recipient of a $25,000 grant to support the Leader in Me program in the Bethlehem Area School District. The fund programming for 1,000 students in kindergarten to grade five will be distributed to Calypso, Clearview and Governor Wolf elementary schools.

The Leader in Me process teaches leadership principles, creates a leadership culture and aligns academic systems which results in decreased absences, improved student behavior and ultimately increased academic achievement.
