STUDENT OF THE WEEK
Q: What grade are you in?
A: I am a senior at Salisbury High School.
Q: What is your favorite subject? Why?
A: My favorite subject in school is science. I enjoy learning about different life processes and the reasoning behind why these things happened. One of my favorite classes in high school has been chemistry, as I love the combination of math and science that it involves.
Q: Have you received any special awards or recognition?
A: From an academic standpoint, I have had the honor to be a member of our school’s National Honor Society. Outside of school I made first team for Colonial League field hockey.
Q: Are you involved in any extracurricular activities?
A: I am a member of Student Government Advisory, the secretary of National Honor Society, treasurer of Future Business Leaders of America and a member of the 2019 class advisory. I am also on the varsity field hockey team, swimming team and I pole vault for the track and field team.
Q: What is your next goal after high school?
A: After high school I plan to major in either chemistry or biochemistry at a four-year university.
Q: What would you say your biggest challenge has been so far?
A: At this point, I feel as if the biggest challenge I have faced is my time management. I take rigorous classes at the high school, a college course at Lehigh and participate in a sport during all seasons. This schedule makes it difficult to manage my time, but I have dedicated a lot of effort toward fulfilling all of these areas to the best of my ability.
Q: What do you want to be remembered for?
A: I hope to be remembered for my positive attitude and hardworking mentality.
Q: Who is in your family?
A: My family consists of my mom, Jennifer, and my dad, Charlie. I also have a younger brother Nicholas.
Q: Do you have someone you look up to?
A: People I look up to in life are my parents. Both my mom and dad have taught me valuable lessons about hard work and have dedicated so much time and energy into my success. Their selflessness is something I admire and hope to achieve myself one day.
Q: Do you have any advice for your peers?
A: One piece of advice I would offer my peers is to always challenge yourself and try your hardest in everything you do.
