Hokendauqua: HPPA sets registration dates for baseball, softball
Hokendauqua Park and Playground Association is holding registration for the upcoming baseball/softball season. You can register online until Feb. 9 at hokeypark.com.
To register in person, visit Hokendauqua Fire Company, 3022 S. Second St., 6-8 p.m. Feb. 1 or 2-4 p.m. Feb. 9. Bring a copy of your child’s birth certificate (for first-time players), proof of health insurance and contact information. Registration forms can be downloaded from the website. Additional information can be found there as well.
HPPA will be hosting Lehigh Valley League tryouts for both girls and boys - Lehigh Valley League girls 10U through 18U and Lehigh Valley League boys Biddy through Knee Hi. A new addition to the HPPA lineup is a Majors team, for boys ages 16 to 19 (before March 31).

HPPA will again award two $1,000 Bob Warke-Dale Horn scholarships. The organization will select one girl and one boy at the March/April meetings to receive the scholarships.
To be eligible for the scholarship, you must be a Class of 2019 high school-eligible graduate, be continuing your education in the fall of 2019, have participated in HPPA’s baseball, softball or basketball youth programs and complete the scholarship application form and return it to HPPA by Feb. 28.

Mark your calendar for Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church’s annual basket social. The event will be held 9 a.m.-3 p.m. March 2 and 9 a.m.-1 p.m. March 3, with the drawing 1:30 p.m.
