Northampton: Mayor proclaims School Choice Week

Mayor Thomas Reenock has proclaimed Jan. 20-26 as Northampton School Choice Week in the borough.

“School Choice Week is celebrated across the country by millions of students, parents, educators, schools and organizations to raise awareness of the need for effective educational options for all children,” Reenock said. “Northampton is home to a variety of high-quality public and nonpublic schools from which parents can choose for their children, in addition to families who educate their children in their home.”

Reenock added the goal of School Choice Week is “simply to raise awareness among parents of the K-12 education options available to their children.”
